Getting started
What happens after I book a demo?
We email you to confirm your slot and send the video call link. On the 30-minute call we walk through our workflow and quality checks. If it’s a fit, we can run a small pilot on your data.
Can we run a pilot before committing?
Yes. We annotate a small sample to your guidelines and you review the results. You can check quality and agree the approach before we scale up.
How is pricing decided, and how long does a project take?
Both depend on your project’s size and complexity: volume, data type, task and quality requirements. After scoping and a pilot, we give you a quote and timeline.
Process & quality
Do you use our annotation tool or yours?
Either. We work in your tool or ours, whichever suits your project and security needs. We deliver in the formats your pipeline needs, such as COCO, YOLO, Pascal VOC, JSON, CSV and custom formats. We agree these at scoping.
Do domain experts review the data?
Yes, all data is reviewed by experts before final verification and delivery. Our directors have biotechnology, healthcare and agriculture backgrounds. For specialized projects we can also bring in qualified reviewers or your own specialists.
How do you handle ambiguous cases?
We put ambiguous cases in the guidelines up front, with examples. When annotators disagree, a senior reviewer makes the final call and we update the guidelines. Unclear definitions are raised with you rather than guessed.
Do you use AI-assisted pre-labeling?
Yes, alongside manual annotation, where your project allows it. A human always reviews AI output, and we never treat it as ground truth. If your contract prohibits external AI tools, we don’t use them on your data.
Data ownership & security
Who owns our data?
You do. We don’t use it to train or improve any AI model unless you authorize it in writing. We agree this with you at the start of each project.
How do you keep our data secure?
We limit access to the people who need it and protect accounts with authentication controls. Depending on the project, we also use encryption, secure transmission and confidentiality obligations. See our Data Policy, or email [email protected].
Can you handle sensitive medical or personal data?
Yes. Before we start, we agree extra safeguards such as restricted access and handling procedures. You remain responsible for having the right to share the data.
What happens to our data when the project ends?
We agree this up front. If you’ve authorized AI training use in writing, we follow that. Otherwise we return or delete your data as the contract specifies.
